Dior in its most iconic version, the Galliano years.
Five years after the Saddle first appeared, Galliano turned it into a sketchbook. A woman in profile, eyes closed and lips red, drifts across the flap. Behind her sits the rose window of Notre-Dame, a pair of domes, and a spill of watercolour roses in violet, saffron and green. "Dior" is written across it the way an illustrator would sign a page.
It's a love letter to the house's 1950s Paris, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. Cream canvas, black leather trim, chrome CD links, the swinging D. Made in 2005, in a limited run of 1,000. This one is No. 207
