Dior Beaded Mini Saddle Bag
Description
Wearable art in the form of fashion's most recognizable silhouette.
The Saddle needs little introduction. Born in 1999 and reborn in 2018 under Maria Grazia Chiuri, it remains one of the most coveted It-bags ever made. But this is no ordinary Saddle.
This piece comes from Dior's Fall 2018 runway, the collection that reintroduced the Saddle to the world. Chiuri built the whole collection around May 1968: the Paris student uprisings, the feminist movement, fashion as protest. The Saddle came back as a part of that: a cross-body marker for "an army of women" styled like a uniform of unified strength.
Every inch of this piece is covered in dense, hand-applied glass beadwork and embroidery. Raised beaded tassels catch the light across the flap, giving the surface a tactile, almost textile dimensionality that flat embroidery never achieves. This is the kind of artisanal labor that Dior reserves for its most exceptional productions and its runway pieces, and it reads as couture object as much as a handbag. Chiuri described the Saddle as a chameleon that adapts to anything.
It arrives with two ways to wear it: the signature black leather strap with antiqued gold buckle, and a wide bohemian woven strap embroidered in coordinating tones and studded with antiqued silver medallions.

Authenticity Guarantee
Authenticity is the foundation everything else rests on, and we treat it that way.
A note on cards: many of our pieces arrive with their original authenticity card, and we're always glad when they do. But a card is not proof. Cards can be reproduced, mismatched, or separated rated from the piece they were meant to accompany. We never let one stand in for verification. It's a nice provenance detail, not a guarantee.
That's why we take the extra step, every time. Every piece is independently authenticated through Entrupy, a third-party authentication technology that uses AI and high-resolution imaging to compare a piece against a vast database of genuine and counterfeit examples. The result is an objective, documented decision, not one person's opinion. Some pieces arrive with Legit App certification as well; when they do, we keep both on file. But Entrupy is the constant. No piece enters the collection without it.
Every order ships with its Entrupy Certificate of Authenticity included. And if you'd like to see it before you buy, just ask; we're glad to send the certificate link ahead of purchase.
Only once a piece passes does it earn its place in the collection.
And we stand behind it. If a piece sold by The Archival Collection is ever found not to be authentic, we will make it right with a full refund. That assurance never expires.
Returns & final sale
Every piece in The Archival Collection is unique; sourced, authenticated, and offered as a single object with its own history. For this reason, all sales are final. We don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order is placed.
We ask that you buy with intention. Before you do, we want you to feel certain.
Authenticity, guaranteed.
Every piece is authenticated before it's listed. We stand behind that fully: if a piece is ever found not to be authentic, we will make it right, including a complete refund. This is the one assurance we will always honor.
Condition, described honestly.
We photograph and describe each piece as it truly is. What you see is what arrives. If you have any questions about condition, measurements, or provenance, ask us before you purchase. We'd rather answer ten questions than have a piece go to the wrong home.
If something arrives damaged.
In the rare event a piece is damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and we'll work with you to resolve it.
