Some Chanel pieces are bags. This one is a moment from a runway collection. The Waterfall flap came out of the 2018 SS Runway, where the sequins were meant to read as moving water, and they do. The gradient runs from a clouded slate at the flap down into clear aqua at the base, every sequin catching light at a slightly different angle. Hold it under any light and it shifts. It doesn't photograph the way it looks in the hand, which is rather the point of a piece like this.
Seasonal, sequined, and produced in limited numbers. These don't surface often, and rarely in this condition.
