Description

Every archive rests on a foundation. This is ours

The Classic Flap in beige caviar is the bag most collectors begin with, but this is not the one hanging in the boutique today. Series 13, produced 2009 to 2010, from the era collectors call old caviar: a puffer quilt, a softer matte grain, a density of leather Chanel has not made the same way since. Jumbo in scale, single flap in construction, a format the house discontinued and never brought back, prized for its lighter weight and uninterrupted interior.

Where beige traditionally takes gold, this one carries silver. A cooler register against a warm neutral, and the far less common pairing of the two.

We built The Archival Collection around pieces that are difficult to find. The Classics are the exception, and we price them accordingly: below market, deliberately, so the foundation of a collection is the simple part. What comes after is where it gets interesting.

Authenticity Guarantee

Authenticity is the foundation everything else rests on, and we treat it that way.

A note on cards: many of our pieces arrive with their original authenticity card, and we're always glad when they do. But a card is not proof. Cards can be reproduced, mismatched, or separated from the piece they were meant to accompany. We never let one stand in for verification. It's a nice provenance detail, not a guarantee.

That's why we take the extra step, every time. Every piece is independently authenticated through Entrupy, a third-party authentication technology that uses AI and high-resolution imaging to compare a piece against a vast database of genuine and counterfeit examples. The result is an objective, documented decision, not one person's opinion. Some pieces arrive with Legit App certification as well; when they do, we keep both on file. But Entrupy is the constant. No piece enters the collection without it.

Every order ships with its Entrupy Certificate of Authenticity included. And if you'd like to see it before you buy, just ask; we're glad to send the certificate link ahead of purchase.

Only once a piece passes does it earn its place in the collection.

And we stand behind it. If a piece sold by The Archival Collection is ever found not to be authentic, we will make it right with a full refund. That assurance never expires.

Returns & final sale

Every piece in The Archival Collection is unique; sourced, authenticated, and offered as a single object with its own history. For this reason, all sales are final. We don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order is placed.

We ask that you buy with intention. Before you do, we want you to feel certain.

Authenticity, guaranteed.
Every piece is authenticated before it's listed. We stand behind that fully: if a piece is ever found not to be authentic, we will make it right, including a complete refund. This is the one assurance we will always honor.

Condition, described honestly.
We photograph and describe each piece as it truly is. What you see is what arrives. If you have any questions about condition, measurements, or provenance, ask us before you purchase. We'd rather answer ten questions than have a piece go to the wrong home.

If something arrives damaged.
In the rare event a piece is damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and we'll work with you to resolve it.
